ABOUT THE WRITER
Leona served as editor of Forests News 2016-2017. Prior to this role, she was the Director of Communications for Danone’s CSR fund Livelihoods working on topics concerning sustainable agriculture and greening supply chains. She previously worked as a print and TV journalist in Paris, France for leading international media including BusinessWeek, Reuters and the French international news channel France 24. Originally from New York, Leona holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and French from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a Master’s degree in international affairs from l’Institut des Etudes des Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po Paris). She is thrilled to apply her media and communications expertise to promote forestry research for CIFOR.
