Nelly Puren worked for almost a decade as a senior market analyst for the chemical and the energy sector as part of a top tier consulting company and as an independent consultant. Highly interested in topics related to environment and forestry, she decided in 2014 to pursue a master’s degree in sustainable resource management at the Technical University of Munich. Her studies have focused on agroforestry and renewable energy. She has then worked intensively on an agroforestry development project in a vulnerable peri urban area in Haiti, where she spent several months working within local communities as an independent researcher.
