ABOUT THE WRITER
Laura F. Kowler, Ph.D. is an interdisciplinary researcher and practitioner with a background in natural resource governance committed to developing effective tools for monitoring and evaluation in support of sustainable and equitable supply chains and low-emissions development initiatives. She spent a decade living and working in Latin America, where she worked with rural producer communities, subnational governments and civil society organizations primarily in the Amazon region. She was the Peru Project Coordinator for CIFOR's Multilevel Governance and Carbon Management at the Landscape Scale project under GCS REDD+, 2013-2015.
