ABOUT THE WRITER
Emilie Vansant is an early-career, social science researcher with an interest in investigating linkages between the natural environment, agricultural practices, and food/nutrition security. She holds an MSc in Agroecology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences in partnership with ISARA-Lyon in France. She is now a PhD Candidate at the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management, University of Copenhagen in Denmark, where her current research is on behalf of the FORESTDIET project (funded by the European Research Council) and focuses on understanding how forest loss and fragmentation affect people’s dietary quality in low- and middle-income countries.
