Daisy Ouya works as a communications specialist with the World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF), based in Nairobi. She has a Masters degree in chemistry from the University of Connecticut, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, but abandoned the test tube for the keyboard 15 years ago. She edited and produced entomology and marine science journals for many years, then worked with CIMMYT, a CGIAR centre, as science writer/editor. She joined ICRAF in July 2012 from the the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), where she was communications program manager. Daisy is a Board-certified Editor in the Life Sciences.
