Benno Pokorny is a professor for forestry and rural development in the Faculty of Forest and Environmental Sciences at the University of Freiburg in Germany. Previously, he was a Senior Associate Researcher at the Regional Office of the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Belém, Brazil.
