ABOUT THE WRITER
Aoife Bennett-Curry is an Oxford University doctoral student who has been who formerly worked with CIFOR, first as a master’s student intern, later as a consultant and then as a collaborator while in doing her doctoral research in collaboration with CIFOR-Peru and Oxford University. Aoife's research has an interdisciplinary approach, which merges social and natural science methods. She is interested in finding opportunities for forest conservation, restoration and regrowth in a developing agricultural landscape. Her work has been focused in the Peruvian Amazon, where she has spent a great deal of time.
