ABOUT THE WRITER
Tim Trench is a British anthropologist who has lived and done research in Chiapas, southern Mexico for the last 15 years, working principally at the University of Chapingo in their rural development postgraduate program. He is currently Mexico country coordinator for the CIFOR research project 'Multi-level governance and carbon management at the landscape scale' and hopes to conclude the the study by the end of 2015.
