Veronique (Niki) De Sy is a postdoctoral researcher at Wageningen University. She is part of the global comparative study on REDD+, focusing on several aspects (e.g. drivers, capacities) of national forest monitoring systems and the interaction with policy and demonstration activities. She holds a PhD in Environmental Science and a Masters in International Land and Water Management from Wageningen University. Her main research areas comprise spatial analysis of land use processes, remote sensing, natural resources management and the interaction between technology and the wider socio-economic context of developing countries.
