Maria Paula Sarigumba worked across the Philippines as a researcher on watershed management projects before she joined the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization as a forest policy specialist for the Asia-Pacific region. She holds a degree in social forestry and is currently working towards her master's degree in environment and sustainability at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada.
