Robin is a consultant with CIFOR in Latin America.
Robin combines interests in forest ecology, forestry, development policy to work on issues related to smallholder management of rural landscapes. She currently works with Peter Cronkleton and other colleagues in Peru to address gaps in the national forest policy and regional implementation processes as they are applied to smallholder “family forestry” systems. Her geographic focus has principally been in the Amazon, but she has ongoing research in Bhutan and interests in East Africa. Robin also manages the production of a set of multidisciplinary teaching modules for Latin America under the leadership of Manuel Guariguata. Until recently, she was academic director of an environmental study abroad program and had the privilege of working with around the world with host-country national faculty.
