Sigit Sasmito studies mangrove ecosystem management functions at Australia's Charles Darwin University Research Institute for Environment and Livelihoods and at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). He specializes in tropical mangrove ecology, blue carbon, mangroves and climate change mitigation and adaptation, and mangrove ecosystem functions under human-induced disturbance and climate change.
