The United Nations International Day of Forests, marked on 21 March, is a global celebration of forests and all the ways in which they sustain and protect us. In 2017, the focus is on ‘Forests and Energy’, highlighting the potential of forests to deliver energy, support livelihoods and contribute to action on climate change.
